Regional Grant Program – Launching January 2022

A strong sense of community is one of the benefits of living in the Tri-Valley, and TVNPA was able to harness that strength when it established the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Fund in March 2020 to help stabilize regional nonprofit safety net service providers responding on the front lines of the Covid-19 Pandemic. In that same spirit, TVNPA is excited to announce the expansion of the fund by establishing a quarterly grant program for 501(c)3s in the region beginning in January 2022.

Through the success of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Fund’s inaugural campaign which raised $183,000 to bring immediate and measurable relief throughout the region during the Covid-19 lockdown, Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance recognized the ongoing need for unrestricted funding for nonprofit operational success. As a result, TVNPA is expanding the concept, developing an ongoing quarterly grant program to provide unrestricted funding to TVNPA member organizations and nonprofits serving the Tri-Valley region.

Partnering with the TVNPA in launching the grant program are the Community Health & Education Foundation (CHEF), Marti and John Sutton, and other local businesses and individuals, all instrumental in the origins of the first campaign and now continuing as key matching funds partners. CHEF will also continue to host the matching funds portal in their fiscal management role.

Beginning January 2022, TVNPA member organizations and/or regional nonprofit organizations serving the Tri-Valley communities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville and Sunol, will be eligible to apply for grants of between $1,000 – $5,000 four times per year. Awards will be made in March, June, September, and December.
