Programming excellence is a hallmark of TVNPA. Whether its presenting knowledgeable speakers or a networking opportunity, TVNPA programs are meant to stimulate, invigorate and help you and your organization thrive. To learn more about our programs, explore these links:
Learn new skills, network with other non-profits and businesses, get answers to unanswered questions, ponder new paths for your organizations. All of this happens for attendees of our monthly program meetings. Held the second Thursday of each month (with a couple of exceptions, so be sure to check the calendar page) at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore (2300 First St., Livermore) from 10am to noon, the monthly program features knowledgeable experts on topics of import to non-profits.
In the spring, one of the monthly programs is expanded to a half-day forum. The TVNPA Forum explores timely questions and challenges faced by non-profits. Our select speakers are key players in their fields. At the 2018 Forum titled Thriving in the New Philanthropy Era held in April, speakers included Jan Masaoka, CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits; Randy Pond, CFO of Pensando Systems; and Kate Wilkinson, Director of Strategy and Project Leadership for Open Impact. Mark your calendar for Forum 2019 the morning of Thursday, April 11.
All programs are free and open to all, with the exception of the Forum. Our free monthly programs are made possible by the generosity of our program sponsor the Bankhead Theater, funding from TVNPA memberships, and raffles (with wonderful prizes) held at each program. This more intimate gathering is a deeper dive into topics of interest to non-profits and is available to TVNPA member organizations only. Held the last Friday of each month at the Bankhead Theater Founders Room from noon – 1pm (brown bag lunch welcome), this roundtable conversation explores the monthly program topic and gives members an opportunity to share their experiences—positive and negative—and learn from one another.
The sessions are led by senior non-profits leaders who moderate the session and provide insight from their backgrounds.
Like to network? TVNPA members enjoy special networking opportunities for socializing and business learning. Our recent event brought 40 people to the Livermore Community Center for drinks, hors-d’oeuvres, and raffle prizes and 25 people to Casa Orozco for Fajitas & Feedback, where we discussed what members want from TVNPA. Like jazz? You would have loved our jazz night fundraiser at Inklings in Pleasanton. How about a lively evening of Mexican fare, drinks and eye-popping raffle prizes? Our evening at Blue Agave in Pleasanton delivered. TVNPA special events are always filled with fun and flare…and they benefit the work of the organization. So don’t miss out because our next special event will be even more special with you there!
