Mental Health Roundtable

Join us for the Mental Health Roundtable. This program will launch in February 2025. The free, drop-in, quarterly meetings will be held at CommonPoint Nonprofit Center in Livermore, CA from 3:30 pm-4:45 pm.

This roundtable provides a valuable opportunity for people working in the mental health space to connect and collaborate, share proven practices, address common challenges, gain new perspectives, and advocate for change.

Who should attend:

  • Mental health professionals (therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, case workers, etc.)
  • Nonprofit staff and volunteers working in the mental health space
  • Community health workers
  • Peer support specialists
  • Mental health first responders
  • Advocates and policymakers
  • Anyone passionate about improving mental health in our community

Format: Quarterly meetings that are 75 minutes long. Each meeting will feature a brief presentation or discussion on a relevant topic, followed by ample time for open discussion and networking.

Shaké Sulikyan, nationally-recognized nonprofit executive, former President & Executive Director, and trained youth mental health first responder, will facilitate the Mental Health Roundtable.

She is here to support the MHR by coordinating the group and the meeting discussions to ensure it is relevant to the participants. As a former EMT, peer counselor, and a psychology student, she has a deep interest in and passion for supporting the wellbeing of individuals through normalizing conversations about mental health and by providing people the support needed in this stressful world.

Shaké Sulikyan (she/her) is a nationally recognized nonprofit executive and changemaker. She’s dedicated her life to making the world a better place. Shaké has over two decades of experience in aligning talent and resources to drive large-scale initiatives, build fruitful relationships, and reach record-breaking goals. Her nonprofit career includes leadership roles in healthcare, academic medicine, higher education, social service and nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. She has been a Tri-Valley resident since 2014 and served as President and Executive Director of ValleyCare Charitable Foundation for 5.5 years. In January 2022, she launched her consultancy which focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations and their teams, as well as advancing women in the workplace. She also serves as Senior Advisor and Executive Search Consultant with Boyden, where she’s helped build their social impact/nonprofit practice in the U.S. and has placed over 30 executives into various nonprofit organizations, including CEOs, CFOs, CDOs, Major and Annual Giving Directors, and more. She moved to the U.S. at the age of 12 and currently lives in Livermore, CA with her husband and teenage son.
