Mastering Media for Nonprofits Workshop

February 26 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

After the resounding success of our community program in January, we are excited to present, Mastering Media for Nonprofits – a comprehensive half-day session designed to take your nonprofit’s media presence to new heights and answer the question, “Why doesn’t the news media cover our nonprofit events?”

In this engaging and informative workshop, Barbara and Tim Daly of Daly Video Services will lead a deeper exploration into the strategies and tactics outlined in their previous program. This half-day session is tailored to provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to navigate the media landscape effectively, ensuring your nonprofit gets the attention it deserves.

With their experience as video producers, Tim and Barbara Daly have worked with dozens of nonprofits who are frustrated by the lack of media attention for their really important work. As long-time media professionals, the Dalys’ have been in the newsroom when decisions are being made, and they have seen why some stories are picked up and others are ignored.

This media training workshop contains information that can be put to use immediately. By the end of the session, you will:

      • Recognize potential news stories within your nonprofit.
      • Learn to craft a press release that gets the media’s attention.
      • Acquire tips on telling your nonprofit’s story and producing your own videos.
      • Practice in front of a camera to hone your own sound bite.
      • Understand that the news media is anxious to hear from you and share your nonprofit’s stories.

Get a great deal on expert media training for your nonprofit! Our half-day workshop, typically valued between $250 to $1000 per hour, is just $200 for TVNPA members and $225 for nonmembers. Limited seats are available, so secure your spot early to ensure you don’t miss out on this opportunity to elevate your nonprofit’s media presence.
