A Meeting of the Minds: TVNPA’s Critical Development Tools Workshop

TVNPA’s A Meeting of the Minds Workshop features “round-robin” discussion groups designed to bring together industry experts with participating nonprofit professionals, board directors and volunteers. We’ll explore four development topics in small group discussions guided by local nonprofit leaders who will rotate between groups. Organizations will be categorized by: The Arts, Health Organizations, Education, and Direct Services.
Workshops will last for 15 minutes each and rotate from one organization group to the next, until all groups have had the opportunity to participate in all four workshops. Workshop topics will focus on discussing nonprofit critical development tools and will feature:
• Marketing and Social Media for Events
• Database Systems
• Stewardship and Cultivation of Donors
• Board Engagement and Fundraising
Following the the round-robin sessions, attendees will convene in the auditorium for a thirty-minute Q&A session with topic experts. TVNPA welcomes you to bring your knowledge, experiences, stories and questions as we dive into exploring critical development tools together at a true “meeting of the minds” in our region!

Event promotion is more complex than ever. Discussions will center on utilizing marketing best practices, including social media tools, to bring in the best attendance and achieve a strong return on investments for fundraising events.
